The products pass through various distribution channels before actually reaching to the customer adding all the commissions which makes it expensive for the end customer.

No live tracking of production is available which causes problems for D2C brands to keep a track of their order and manage their inventory.

MOQs are usually very high for a single design which makes it difficult for apparel brands to have diversified designs.
Unknown quality of production
Brands are not aware of the quality of products which they are going to get until they actually receive the product. Once they have received the product, they cannot sell that lower quality product as that will lower their brand image.
Longer apparel sourcing process
The traditional process of sourcing apparel takes anywhere between 135-180 days to actually get the products shipped, right from the stage of developing the product till the final inspection is done, which is high.
